This brand was introduced in 1966, essentially, as a second value line of the Montecristo brand, primarily aimed at the French market. Diplomaticos brand is exclusively devoted to handmade cigars, and the sizes and names are essentially the same as in Montecristo nomenclature. Diplomaticos line is produced at the Jose Marti factory, as most of the Montecristo range.
